Story
Rowan Wrestling was formed to preserve and continue the tradition of wrestling at Rowan University following the discontinuation of its varsity program. We provide students with the opportunity to train, compete, and represent Rowan University on a national stage.
Rowan Wrestling welcomes wrestlers of all experience levels and is committed to developing student-athletes who embody discipline, resilience, and respect, both on and off the mat. In recent years, Rowan Wrestling has earned eight All-Americans, a national runner-up team finish, and even produced wrestlers ranked among the best in the country. We plan to continue building a strong wrestling community and keep the dream of Rowan Wrestling alive for years to come.
Your donations directly help our team cover essential costs such as transportation, registration fees, uniforms and equipment, team apparel, coaching, and our largest expenses, competing at the NCWA National Championships. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps our wrestlers pursue their goals and represent Rowan at the collegiate level within the National Collegiate Wrestling Association (NCWA).
The NCWA was designed to fill a gap in the wrestling community created by outside influences, including budgetary cutbacks and restrictive governmental legislation that forced institutions to drop their NCAA wrestling programs. Because NCWA teams are funded largely by students themselves, the success of Rowan Wrestling depends heavily on the generosity of our supporters.
